Stillness screen

A camera watches the guest in front of a round screen. While they keep still, a picture grows out of a single point of light; the moment they move, it plays back into the dot. In a loud venue, it makes people stop.

Stillness is the trigger

The screen reacts only to how still the guest stands, so people stop, focus and wait for the picture to grow.

A crowd around one still person

Someone standing perfectly still in a busy room draws others in. Friends whisper “don’t move”, and the screen gets its own audience.

What you need on site

HardwareA round or rectangular LED screen in a frame, a small camera above it and a computer. We bring and run the kit
SpaceAbout 3 × 3 m of clear floor in front of the screen
TimingRuns live: 10–20 seconds of standing still
DataThe camera only measures movement; no images are stored

The less you move, the more you see.

A round screen hangs in a timber frame and shows one warm dot and a single line: Be still. Let it appear. A small camera above it measures how much the guest in front of the screen moves.

When the guest stands still, the picture grows out of the dot. In our film it is a bonsai in time-lapse, from a seedling to a tree in blossom. A step or a gesture plays it back into the dot, so guests learn the rule in seconds and try again. When the picture is complete, the screen holds it.

Where the brand lives

The brand owns the moment of calm: what grows on the screen is the brand’s world, its product or the campaign’s image, and the invitation to stop is written in its voice.
